First Contact Practitioner: Physiotherapist

Capture.png29ea7fcc3

Musculoskeletal (MSK) First Contact Practitioner (FCP) services have positioned highly skilled and regulated MSK practitioners at the first point of contact in primary care.

This means that a patient presenting to a GP practice with an MSK condition can see an FCP at their first appointment.

  • Seeing an FCP instead of a GP can accelerate a patients MSK assessment, treatment plan, investigations and referral (if needed).
  • FCP appointments save time and resources within primary care teams.
